prigionero

prigionero - prisoner.

By nature, we are born free, yet at the same time, we are prisoners. Prisoners of our insecurities, of the thoughts we don’t dare to say out loud, of the expectations others place upon us. We are captives of the past, of mistakes that haunt us, of fears we refuse to let go of.

Sometimes, our prison has walls of concrete and bars of steel. Other times, it is invisible, built from habits, from societal norms, from choices we made—or failed to make. And the key? It is always within us. The question is whether we have the courage to use it.
